# Reduce noise in Discord

## Hide irrelevant discord channels

Once you have submitted the Collaborator Typeform, multiple public channels will open up. It can be helpful to hide irrelevant channels. To do so, click #Browse Channels at the very top of the left-side channel menu.

Channels that have a check mark are the ones you are following. Deselect any you do not wish to receive messages from.

However, sometimes when you begin this process, it will deselect all channels and you will have to re-select those you would like to receive messages from. If this happens and you wish to follow most or all of the channels within a category, you can select all by clicking the checkmark next to "Follow Category."
